Barwell Global USA, world leaders of high-quality and cost-saving rubber processing machinery has appointed Ian Turner as Vice President of Sales and Service for the North American market.

Ian was present at the recent ACS Rubber Show in Louisville, KY, and is well-known to many US rubber companies, having worked for Barwell in a worldwide Technical Sales and Service capacity for 22 years. Ian will now focus solely on machine sales and customer development for the North American market.

Ian has become one of the world-leading experts on rubber production and has an extensive knowledge of all our machines, and the different materials and processes used over a variety of industry sectors.

Tammy Kidd will support Ian at the Barwell USA facility in Brunswick, Ohio. Tammy is responsible for the supply of genuine Barwell Spares and Service Support by the team of Barwell Service Engineers.

Ian is available to advise and guide Barwell owners to get the best out of their existing machines and to assist in the correct specification of appropriate new machinery to improve their future production efficiency and quality.

One area of focus will be to promote the re-launch of the new and improved Barwell cryogenic rubber deflashing machines – the Barwell Freeze Trim (BFT).

The BFT range is designed to provide optimum efficiency, quality, and performance. The revamped range has been developed after listening to the needs of customers who use cryogenics to deflash their rubber parts. As a result, factors such as reducing running costs, consistency and quality of the deflashing, simpler maintenance, and improving operator user-ability have been key elements incorporated in the design of the new generation of machines from Barwell.

Ian commented on his appointment: “I am very much looking forward to helping current Barwell users and new customers to maximize their rubber production capabilities, it is key for factories to have efficiency, quality, and safety at the forefront of their planning, and part of that is to have fit for purpose machinery which is appropriate to their production requirements.”

If you would like to arrange for Ian to visit your facility to discuss any of your rubber production requirements or to evaluate your existing machines, please contact our office at 330-225-9557.
